What are Chinese herbs?

Chinese herbs are part of Chinese medicine. They are natural herbs that come from different parts of plants, trees, berries, etc. Although they are natural, they are prescription strength. When used in the hands of a seasoned practitioner, it can create life-changing results.

What do Chinese herbs do?

If Chinese herbs are used correctly with the raw form and custom tailored (dosage, frequency, specific herbs) for each individual person then it will be prescribed based on exactly what deficiencies that may lie within the body. This maximizes the efficacy in results given to the patients.

How are customized Chinese herbs different than supplements or vitamins?

Supplements/vitamins are something you can buy at Walmart. Many times you're not sure if it's working or not, but you take them anyways "just in case". The customized Chinese herbs that we prescribe will be specifically based on your body and your constitution. You will notice dramatic positive changes in a short period of time with our Chinese herbs.

What is the difference between using raw Chinese herbs vs. capsule/pill form Chinese herbs?

The biggest difference is that capsule/pill form is not perfectly customized to your body. Anything in a capsule, pill, or tablet form is a form of cookie cutter method. They have to find a formula in capsule form that is close to what your ailments are. Practitioners that still use raw Chinese herbs are very rare now due to the complexity of using them.

Why do you use raw Chinese herbs?

We have found Chinese herbs to be more effective when it has not been processed into a pill, capsule, powder, or tablet form. Some ingredients are destroyed or changed during the processing. Also, most importantly the bioavailability significantly declines. This basically means your body's ability to absorb the herbs declines when it is not in it's non-processed form.

How are Chinese herbs different than western medications?

Side effects are the biggest difference. We personally tailor and customize our herbal formulas for each individual person. No two people have the same formulas, unlike western medications. Anything in a capsule, pill, or tablet form is a form of cookie cutter method. Your results will be limited by doing so. Please speak with your primary care physician before stopping or changing your medications.

Are there any potential interactions with my medications when I take the herbs?

Majority of the time, herbs are safe to be taken with medications. We will give instructions on how to prevent any potential herb-drug interactions. Chinese herbs will be adjusted based on your situation and your health needs. We have worked with thousands of patients safely take herbs while on western medications.

Are there Side effects with Chinese herbs? 

When used correctly, Chinese herbs have virtually no side effects. This is because we tailor the herbs to exactly what your body needs with the correct herbs, in proper dosing, and with proper frequency.
